Who are we?
With a common love for all toysoldiers and wargaming, both founders of The Army Painter share a total of 36 years gaming, painting and conversion experience.
Always having difficulties deciding what armies to field next, they have ended up with over 23 fully painted armies combined between them. Most painted in the old fashioned, hard and labouring way. Tired of sitting around watching other people play as they were frantically painting up their next army, they decided it was time to bring proper Speed-Painting to the Hobby Scene. Thus Quick Shade and Colour Primers were born, and a new era of massed army painting in mere days were created. Rumours has it, they plan a Tzunami of dip to hit every gaming table in the future – so everybody can enjoy what they have now: More Time for Gaming!  Bo Penstoft
Bo has a history working 10 years for Games Workshop, the last 6 years as their Northern European Head of Marketing, before deciding on the adventure of running his (and Jonas) own business.
Bo is a veteran gamer and is very active on the tournament scene. With the invention of Quick Shade, he rarely fields the same army twice.  Jonas Faering
Jonas has owned and run a series of very succesful Retail stores in Scandinavia. This experience is widely used when he tests the quality/design/useability of the company’s products, to see if they fit the Retail demands.
Jonas has a history of working for Games Workshops ’Eavy Metal team as one of their master painters. These days though, he mostly basecoats… |
